Do Volume/aus dem Band: Fontes para outras histórias da educação dos surdos

Resumo: 

Desde uma crítica a uma historiografia positivista, o capítulo valoriza a multidisciplinaridade, interdisciplinaridade e transdisciplinaridade nas pesquisas históricas. A partir da realidade da história da educação de surdos em Portugal, considerando os resultados do trabalho historiográfico com a Nova História, apresenta-se o documento Os Cegos e os Surdos e os meios infalíveis de restabelecer, fortificar e conservar a vista e o ouvir em bom estado até à idade avançada escrito por J. J. A. Ramaugé em 1847. Tal obra do século XIX, analisada criticamente, contribui para uma reconstrução da história das comunidades surdas e da sua educação.

Zusammenfassung:

Ausgehend von einer Kritik an der positivistischen Geschichtsschreibung unterstreicht dieser Beitrag die Wichtigkeit von Multidisziplinarität, Interdisziplinarität und Transdisziplinarität in der historischen Forschung. Anschließend wird das 1847 von J. J. A. Ramaugé verfasste Dokument Os Cegos e os Surdos e os meios infalíveis de restabelecer, fortificar e conservar a vista e o ouvir em bom estado até à idade avançada [Die Blinden und Gehörlosen und die unfehlbaren Mittel zur Wiederherstellung, Stärkung und Erhaltung des Seh- und Hörvermögens in gutem Zustand bis ins hohe Alter] vorgestellt, und zwar unter Berücksichtigung der Realität der Geschichte der Gehörlosenbildung in Portugal und der Ergebnisse der historiographischen Arbeit der Nouvelle Histoire vorgestellt.  Kritisch analysiert, trägt dieses Werk aus dem 19. Jahrhundert zu einer Rekonstruktion der Geschichte der Gehörlosengemeinschaften und ihrer Bildung bei.

Abstract: 

From a critique to a positivist historiography, the chapter treasures multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity, and transdisciplinarity in historical research. From the reality of the history of deaf education in Portugal, considering the results of the historiographical work with the New History, we present the document The Blind and the Deaf and the infallible means of reestablishing, fortifying, and conserving sight and hearing in good condition until the advanced age (Os Cegos e os Surdos e os meios infalíveis de restabelecer, fortificar e conservar a vista e o ouvir em bom estado até à idade avançada) written by J. J. A. Ramaugé in 1847. When analyzed critically, that work from the nineteenth century contributes to a reconstruction of the history of deaf communities and their education.
