In the degree program "Musical Instrument Making", theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the modern and historical construction of handcrafted musical instruments are taught.

The bachelor's degree program qualifies students to build high-quality, handcrafted musical instruments in the fields of stringed instrument making or plucked instrument making. Particular emphasis is placed on a close link between artistic tradition, artistic expression and the practice-oriented use of scientific knowledge and methods from applied research.

Within the framework of a cooperative doctorate in Musical Instrument Making, doctoral students carry out projects in the field of applied research in musical instrument making.
