Final Thesis and Colloquium

The study program concludes with the writing of the final thesis and its oral defence (colloquium).

The following steps are required to register for the final thesis:

1. Submission of the application for approval of the final thesis to the Examinations Office.
2. Verification by the Examinations Office that the admission requirements set out in the relevant examination regulations have been met. Return of the application to the applicant or forwarding of the application by the Examinations Office to the faculty.
3. Students must obtain the signatures of their thesis supervisors.
4. Submission of the application to the responsible contact person at the faculty. This is where the deadlines are checked.

Once all examination requirements have been met with the submission of the final thesis, the Examinations Office will automatically register the student for the final thesis. Students cannot register for the final thesis via the Students Services.
