Health Insurance and Statutory Nursing Care Insurance

When enrolling, you must provide proof of membership of a German health insurance (non-EU).

The new student registration procedure (SMV) of the statutory health insurance funds requires that data transfer between universities and health insurance funds must take place electronically in both directions. Unfortunately, registrations in other forms (paper/mail) can no longer be processed. (§ 199a SGB V)

In order to be able to start your studies, please inform your health insurance that you will be starting your studies at the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau. Ask them to send you an M10 registration via the electronic registration procedure. To do this, please provide your health insurance fund with the sender number of our university: H0000911

If you have a privte health insurance, you must have your health insurance confirmed by a statutory health insurance and also send the so-called M10 form. If you are privately insured, please contact a statutory health insurance provider of your choice.

After successful enrollment, our system automatically generates an M20 (start of studies) for your health insurance provider. If you change the health insurance provider, if you are in arrears with your health insurance contributions, and after successful de-registration, SMV notifications are also sent.
