Resumo: 

O presente texto constitui-se como um instigante passeio de pesquisa pelo acervo do Instituto Nacional de Jovens Surdos - INJS. Passeio, no sentido em que conduz por uma reflexão, através de fotografias, compartilhando das belezas daquela casa icônica, no que se refere à educação de surdos. Para além de uma gama de documentos, o texto retrata como o ato de conservar fontes da história surda na França está bastante organizado, realçando a quantidade de materiais disponíveis e os possíveis caminhos de acesso a eles. Sobeja no texto a certeza de que há muito mais a se descobrir sobre as fontes históricas francesas.

Zusammenfassung:

Dieser Beitrag bietet einen anregenden Forschungsrundgang durch die Sammlung des Pariser Institut National de Jeunes Sourds (INJS), des Nationalen Instituts für junge Gehörlose, der anhand von Fotos die Schönheiten dieses symbolträchtigen Gebäudes in Bezug auf die Gehörlosenbildung aufzeigt. Es wird nicht nur eine Reihe von Dokumenten vorgestellt, sondern gezeigt, wie gut die Bewahrung der Quellen zur Geschichte der Gehörlosen in Frankreich organisiert ist und welch große Menge an verfügbaren Materialien dort der Forschung zugänglich ist. Dadurch wird aufgezeigt, welche wissenschaftlichen Entdeckungen in diesem Archivmaterial noch gemacht werden können.

Abstract: 

This text is an instigating research tour through the Collection of Instituto Nacional de Jovens Surdos - INJS. Tour, in the sense that it leads through a reflection, through photographs, sharing the beauties of that iconic house, about the education of deaf people. In addition to a range of documents, the text suggests how conserving sources of deaf history in France is quite organized, highlighting the number of materials available and the possible ways to access them. There is much more to discover about French historical sources.
