Do Volume/aus dem Band: Fontes para outras histórias da educação dos surdos

Resumo: 

O capítulo coloca em discussão o documento francês Mimographie (1825), escrito por Roch-Ambroise Auguste Bébian. O texto tem por objetivo apresentar questionamentos por meio da obra do professor do Instituto de Paris, cujo conteúdo antecede em mais de um século algumas discussões sobre as línguas de sinais e a didática de seu ensino. Apresenta-se a necessidade de pesquisas sobre linguística de sinais e educação bilíngue que ultrapassem a monotonia temática que, ao assumir a década de 1970 como momento de ressurgimento das línguas de sinais, conduz ao apagamento de textos com potencial formativo.

Zusammenfassung:

Thema dieses Kapitels ist das von Roch-Ambroise Auguste Bebián verfasste französische Dokument Mimographie (1825). Dabei werden die Fragen des damaligen Pariser Institutsdirektors herausgearbeitet, die in einigen Aspekten der Diskussion über Gebärdensprachen und ihrer Didaktik um mehr als ein Jahrhundert voraus waren. Außerdem wird der Forschungsbedarf im Bereich von Gebärdensprache und zweisprachige Erziehung aufgezeigt, der über die monothematische Zentriertheit hinausgeht, die zur Zeit des Wiederaufschwungs der Gebärdensprachen in den 1970er Jahren dazu geführt hat, dass Texte mit prägendem Potential aus der Erinnerung gelöscht wurden.

Abstract: 

The chapter discusses the French document entitled Mimographie (1825), written by Roch-Ambroise Auguste Bébian. The text aims to present questions through the work of the professor of the Paris Institute, whose content precedes more than a century of discussions about sign languages and the didactics of their teaching. It presents the need for research on sign linguistics and bilingual education that goes beyond the thematic monotony that, when assuming the 1970s as a moment of the resurgence of sign languages, leads to the erasure of texts with formative potential.
