Fachsprache im Kontext – Fallstudie einer Deutsch-Französischen Eheschließung

Zusammenfassung:
Ein Franzose und eine Deutsche möchten in Frankreich heiraten. Sie gehen fest davon aus, dass das innerhalb der EU kein großes Problem darstellen wird. Doch diese Annahme täuscht, denn sie stoßen auf eine Kombination zahlreicher juristischer, fachsprachlicher, menschlicher und interkultureller Probleme und Fragen. Die vorliegende Fallstudie, die auf Emails mit den jeweiligen Ämtern in Deutschland und Frankreich, Auszügen aus Dokumenten und einem Gesprächsprotokoll eines Gesprächs mit dem Paar basiert, zeichnet den Weg der Verlobten bis zur Eheschließung aus ihrer subjektiven Perspektive nach. Die Komplexität interkultureller Fachkommunikation an der Schnittstelle zwischen Interkultureller Kommunikation und Fachtextpragmatik kann hier somit an einem konkreten Beispiel und aus der Sicht von zwei betroffenen EU-BürgerInnen aufgezeigt werden.

Abstract:
A man with French nationality and a woman with German nationality want to get married in France. They are fully convinced that this will not be a major problem within the EU. However, this assumption is an illusion, because they encounter a combination of numerous legal, technical, human and intercultural obstacles and questions. This case study, based on e-mails with the respective offices in Germany and France, excerpts from documents and a meeting protocol of a conversation with the couple, traces the path of the fiancés to marriage from their subjective perspective. The complexity of intercultural technical communication at the interface between intercultural communication and technical text pragmatics can thus be demonstrated here on the basis of a specific example and from the perspective of two EU citizens.
